Alleged bubblegum bandit arraigned

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus' bubblegum bandit was back in court Friday, charged with several break-ins in the city with a very specific goal in mind.

Tyrone Love, 35, was arraigned in Muscogee County Superior Court Friday on 10 counts of burglary.

Columbus Police he broke into dozens of local businesses and stole their gumball machines, leaving behind thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Love was arrested in July.

Muscogee County Superior Court records show in 2006 he pleaded  guilty and was sentenced to probation for Financial Transaction Card Theft and Fraud at a local Summit gas station.

Then, records show he pleaded guilty to five counts of forgery and in 2007, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, two of which he served behind bars.

In 2009, Recorder's Court records show he was back at it, pleading guilty to Shoplifting and giving false information to police.
