Gas jumps 3.6 cents over last week

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – The average retail gasoline prices in Savannah increased 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.07 per gallon on Sunday.

The national average only increased 0.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.12 per gallon, according to gasoline price website SavannahGasPrices.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Savannah during the past week, prices yesterday were 55.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 3.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, according to the website.

The national average has increased 4.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 50.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
