HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The parents of Andrew Wright are finally speaking out about his death.

Doctors declared Andrew brain dead last week after he was found unconscious from playing the choking game.

News of Andrew's death hit hard for those who knew him. His classmates wrote letters to him and posted them on his locker and throughout the school. More than a thousand people came out to his funeral to show their last respects. The parents want something good to come out of this tragedy.

"We've been so open and honest with our entire journey through this because we think kids need to be scared, they need to realize that they are not invincible," said Beth Petrone.

A memorial fund has been started in Andrew's name. Sparkman administrators are considering naming either the field house or the football field after him, and have already had more 600 people sign the petition.
