Muscogee County School Board President Cathy Williams says she understands the budget is just a proposal and hopes leaders will spare children of having more funding robbed from them. Meanwhile, Republicans argue Obama's $3.73 trillion budget proposal doesn't go far enough. GOP leaders say they have a plan to erase another $61 billion from the budget over the remaining seven months of the fiscal year. It would get rid of AmeriCorps, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and make deeper cuts to other programs like feeding poor women and children.
