SNELLVILLE, GA (AP) - Gwinnett County authorities are investigating a shooting at a 'Sweet 16' birthday party that left four teenagers shot and another grazed by shrapnel.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said the gunman began shooting "randomly" into the suburban home around 11 p.m. Saturday where about 50 people had gathered for the party.
The department said Sunday that officers were following up on leads but had yet to identify a suspect. It said the shooting may be linked to gang or drug activity, but no solid connections can be made yet.
Investigators said only 1 of the shooting injuries was deemed serious and none were considered life threatening. The department said the victims have been treated and released from the Gwinnett Medical Center.
