Arrest made in 1998 GA killings

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery and two killings at a Lawrenceville restaurant has been arrested in Texas.

Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin of the FBI's office in Atlanta and Lawrenceville Police Chief Randy Johnson say 37-year-old William Alexander Zepeda, originally from El Salvador, was arrested on Monday in Austin, Texas.

Zepeda is wanted in the April 6, 1998 robbery of a restaurant in which the manager and a cook were killed.

Joaquin Enrique Arevalo is on death row for the crime. His brother, David Arevalo, pleaded guilty to armed robbery in 2000 and is serving a 20-year sentence.

Zepeda is charged with murder and armed robbery in the case.
