COLUMBUS, GA  (WTVM) – Columbus State University Police officers arrested a man Friday on charges related to recent campus burglaries.

University Police arrested 18-year-old Christopher Oaks, who is not a CSU student, on burglary, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a drug-related object.

"This arrest is the end result of great collaboration between University Police and our students," University Police Chief Rus Drew said. "We will now be working to identify what's here and who it belongs to, so we can return each item to its rightful owner."

Oaks was arrested and booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
