Singer and rapper, Nate Dogg, dies at 41

(WTVM) -  Singer and rapper Nate Dogg, died at the age of 41 in his hometown of Long Beach, California after suffering from multiple strokes. 

Nate Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel Hale, worked with west coast artists like Tupac.

Hale began singing as a young boy in church. In 1991, he formed the group 213 with Snoop Dogg and Warren G.

He was nominated for four Grammys for collaborations with Eminem and Ludacris.

Hale suffered a stroke in 2007 while forming the gospel group, Innate Praise.

He suffered several strokes over the past few years.
