LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) – Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation began resurfacing State Route 109 in Troup County Wednesday. The project is expected to be completed in 4 to 6 weeks.
The full project includes 9 miles of milling, plant mix resurfacing and single surface treatment paving and shoulder reconstruction on SR 109 beginning at the Alabama State line and extending east to US 29/SR 14.
Work will be conducted daily from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use extra caution in the work zone.
