SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Police in Savannah are staying busy as the city's celebration of St. Patrick's Day spills over into the weekend.
Throngs of revelers have kept the party going at Savannah's riverfront bars since the city's St. Patrick's parade ended Thursday. The city's St. Patrick's festival on the riverfront continues until Sunday.
Savannah-Chatham County police spokeswoman Gena Moore says officers have made 119 arrests related to the St. Patrick's party as of Saturday morning. Most were for charges such as disorderly conduct, seatbelt violations and public urination.
Moore says police have seen few serious incidents, though one man was arrested on charges he attacked a police car. She says another man faces charges that he bit a bar worker and then struck an officer trying to break up their argument.
