UGA relaxes pre-game tailgating restrictions

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - The University of Georgia has eased some restrictions on campus tailgate parties before home football games.

The school adopted tougher rules a year ago. The rules were a response to reports of out-of-control behavior in September 2009. After one game workers collected from North Campus about 70 tons of garbage and mounds of tents, grills, coolers and chairs.

This year, tents will be permitted once again on North Campus, slightly larger tables will be allowed and celelbrations will be allowed to begin five hours before game time instead of 4.

Fans still won't be allowed to bring grills to games.
