    COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Spring has officially sprung and people are finding ways to enjoy the warm weather. Columbus police are cautioning people, asking them to be extremely careful according to past records more crime happens during the spring and summer months. CUTHBERT, GA (WTVM)  - Teen viewers took pictures of an usual storm cloud Saturday night in Randolph County, during their high school prom. The National Weather Service confirms that a tornado touched down in the area. 

News Leader 9 obtained these photos from the mother of one of the teens.

She tells us that her son and his friend spotted the storm cloud behind their high school and chased it down to take photos. 

The photos show obvious damage and snapped off trees from storms that rushed through the area Saturday night.

Randolph County's sheriff told News Leader 9 a woman was injured when she was thrown around in her trailer.

She was treated by paramedics, but did not go to a hospital.

The National Weather Service confirms 3 tornadoes touched down in our viewing area.

We are told that one touched down briefly in Leesburg, GA, another touched the ground in  Quitman County, GA.  Both of those tornadoes had an EF-0 rating.

The tornado in Randolph County touched down in the area of Benevolence. It had an EF-1 rating by the National Weather Service.
