Victim in Auburn robbery speaks out

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A college student is describing being the victim in what authorities say was a robbery committed by four Auburn University football players.

Southern Union Community College student Clay Stewart tells The Dothan Eagle that one of his friends answered the door on a recent Friday to find masked gunmen outside. He says some of the men had shirts over their heads, and they wore gloves like football receivers.

The 20-year-old Stewart the gunmen started yelling, and one put a gun in his face.

Police matched descriptions given by the five victims to four men who were stopped in a vehicle shortly after the robbery, which occurred March 11. Four players were all kicked off the team after being arrested on robbery charges.
