AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Auburn University is breaking ground on a new $6.3 million animal nutrition facility.
The facility is designed to help animal industries in Alabama and beyond, ensure production of the highest quality of feed.
The facility is being called the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association Feed Mill and Animal Nutrition Building and is slated to begin operations in December.
"This will give us a whole new facility to advance our research and teaching in feed technology and will help us be more efficient in feeding the world," says Dr. Don Conner, Dept. of Poultry Science.
The center is funded through Auburn University monies, private donations and in-kind equipment donations.
