FORT BENNING, Ga. (AP) - The Army's first students at the new Armor School at Fort Benning are putting their skills to the test before graduation.
Students wrapping up a 12-week course on maintaining armored Bradley fighting vehicles will apply what they've learned in a mock battlefield exercise Tuesday at the Army post in Columbus.
The test comes barely a week before the Armor School's first graduation April 14.
The school has been training its first class of students since it moved to Fort Benning from Fort Knox, Ky. The move was ordered after the Pentagon's last round of military base closures and realignments in 2005.
