AUBURN – Auburn University students, alumni and fans will have the opportunity to vote for the 2011-12 All Auburn All Orange T-shirt design April 4-8.
All Auburn All Orange, now in its eighth year, was created by the Auburn Student Government Association and the athletic department as a way to promote the unity and spirit of Auburn. It is a celebration of the "Auburn Family," and the shirt designs will reflect this.
Three design options will be featured on the All Auburn All Orange website. Fans can vote once per day until 5 p.m. on April 8. The winning design will be announced at the A-Day game on April 16. Shirts will then be available for purchase at numerous retailers throughout the state.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of All Auburn All Orange shirts will support Auburn's student scholarship programs and help fund the Student Government Association's Big Event program. Since its inception, the program has generated nearly $62,000 for Auburn student scholarships and the Big Event.
Through the Big Event, Auburn students give back to the Auburn community through service projects on one specific day. For the 2011 Big Event, 2,400 students performed 175 community service projects.
Fans are encouraged to wear their All Auburn All Orange shirt at designated events throughout the year including College Colors Day, a national movement in conjunction with the kickoff of the college football season Sept. 2.
College Colors Day promotes higher education and celebrates the achievements, spirit and traditions of colleges and universities. Members of the Auburn Family are encouraged to wear their orange and blue on College Colors Day to show support for the Tigers.
