LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -  LaGrange Police are searching for the man who calmly walked into a Piggly Wiggly and robbed the bank inside.

It happened Tuesday just after 5 PM at the grocery store on Roanoke Road.

Captain Dale Strickland who heads up the LaGrange Police Department's Criminal Investigative Division says a man between the age of 20 and 30 handed a teller a note demanding money at the Charter Bank branch inside the Piggly Wiggly.

Strickland says he did not show a gun and after he got the money, walked out the door. A getaway car was not spotted.

Police say the man wanted the robbery to be "quietly done" and "didn't want to draw any attention to himself."

The amount of money he got away with is not being released.

Strickland describes him as a white man, 5'7" with a thin build.
