Highway 431 now four lanes from Phenix City to Dothan

RUSSELL COUNTY – The Alabama Department of Transportation announced Wednesday the project to provide 16 miles of four-lane highway on Highway 431, from Seale, in Russell County, to the Barbour County line is complete with all lanes open to traffic.

Highway 431 is now four-lanes between Phenix City and Dothan.

Wednesday's turning of traffic onto all four lanes marks the completion of the final phase on Highway 431 from the Barbour County line to County Road 12 in Russell County.

The completion of the $18 million project marks a major milestone in addressing the needs and safety of motorists by providing a higher level of service on Highway 431.
