AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn coach Gene Chizik says he learned from the Tigers' second scrimmage "that we've got a long way to go in about every department."
The Tigers held their 11th practice of the spring on Monday after reviewing film of the scrimmage from two days earlier. He says those kinds of workouts supply "invaluable" teaching moments for a team replacing most of its starters.
Quarterback Clint Moseley called the offense's performance "very disappointing." He says the offense needs to get better across the board, from execution to energy level.
Moseley and Barrett Trotter are battling to replace Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton. Chizik says there's still not much separation between the two contenders ahead of Saturday's spring game.
