COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus police have identified the man they say held up a Dollar Store on Veterans Parkway last week.
Kelvin McKay, 26, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of as firearm during the commission of a crime.
Investigators say McKay robbed the Family Dollar Store on April 11th. Witnesses say they saw him get away on a bike.
McKay was already in jail on another charge when he was charged with the armed robbery Monday.
Police say he was previously convicted of aggravated assault in 2002.
Officials say tips pointed them in McKay's direction and they were able to confirm his identification.
