COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) - Some of you may have been among the millions who turned on their TVs to watch Princess Diana marry Prince Charles in 1981.

Now, 30 years later, a new royal couple is sparked similar fascination all over the world and even in Columbus.

So much so, one woman, her husband, and their family are making the trip more than 4,000 miles to celebrate Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in London.

"We actually had not told many people that we were going because we though everyone is going to think we're crazy for going such a long way to a wedding we're not even invited to," said Mordic.

That was until last week when a Good Morning America crew filled Amber Mordic's Blue Door Boutique in Columbus.  Mordic was already planning on going to the wedding when she and her husband entered a GMA contest asking about people's royal wedding trips.

She explained how her store is so in love with Kate, they are carrying Kate-like clothes and even a Kate engagement ring.  But, as amazing as GMA was, Mordic's eye is only on one prize.

"We are going to crowd the streets with the masses of other crazy people from all over the world and just hope to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom," said Mordic.

She also will be taking a professional camera along with her to be an official ABC royal wedding I-Reporter.

Mordic said she has not always been a royal fanatic but loves it now.

"My mother-in-law and her sister went all the way to London for Diana's funeral.  Right?  Crazy.  But, now, look who's talking!  They have completely rubbed off on me.  I am now completely obsessed as well," said Mordic.

The royal wedding of William and Kate is next Friday, April 29th.  With Prince William positioned to be the king after his father, this is history in the making.
