Toomer's Corner poisoner to enter plea, attorneys hope to reach deal

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The man accused of poisoning the famous oaks at Toomer's Corner in Auburn may take a plea.

Harvey Updyke, Jr. has a preliminary hearing Wednesday at 1;30 p.m.

He's charged with criminal mischief, and his lawyer says they're trying to arrange a deal that would avoid jail time.
