PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Phenix City Police have made 2 arrests in Tuesday afternoon's shooting that left a pregnant woman dead and another injured.
Brandon Singleton, 18, and a 15-year-old juvenile are both facing charges in connection with the shooting.
Captain Frank Ivey told News Leader 9, Singleton is charged with homicide and 5 counts of attempted murder. The teenager is also charged with 5 counts of attempted murder.
Police have not said what was the possible motive behind the shooting or if the victim and suspects knew each other.
Iman Palmer, 18, died from injuries sustained in the shooting, however doctors were able to save her baby. She was 9-months pregnant. The other victim, Amber Turpin, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. She was treated at Columbus Regional.
