Columbus public ice rink to open Friday

COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus Civic Center is proud to announce the newest addition to our facility, the Columbus Ice Rink.

The latest addition to the South Commons Sports Complex (consisting of Golden Park, Softball Complex, the Columbus Civic Center, and Skateboard Park) is a 38,122 square foot multi-use ice facility with a single NHL regulation-sized ice surface, measuring 200' x 85' with a comfortable seating capacity of 713 guests.

The facility is capable of handling ice events as well as social events with a capacity of 1,440 guests while the ice deck is covered. 

Columbus Ice Rink features a state-of-the-art Bose Sound System, private VIP area overlooking the rink, a spacious lobby, Pro Shop, and Snack Bar.

The facility will offer year round programs in hockey, figure skating, public skating, and much more.

The Mayor and Council cordially invite you attend the ribbon cutting and the grand opening celebration of the Columbus Ice Rink (400 4th Street) April 29th at 4:30pm.

Public Skating will be FREE to the public starting April 29th – May 8th.  Check the Civic Center website for specific dates and times.
