COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  That's the new tune to Dan McKeague's life...he says his whole world has changed since being selected as the new voice for the Aflac Duck. "It's been overwhelming, exciting and's been a whirlwind of action."

McKeague, who works at a radio station in Minneapolis, says he had no idea how much work went into the he so often heard before his new gig.

"We did 96 takes. It was an hour and 45 minute session so it was quite long"

Although we're used to hearing the duck yell that famous Aflac screech...there's much more to it.

"The recording session was a lot, it wasn't just standing there and saying Aflac over and over, it was sound effects it was certain situations angry, sad happy."

McKeague came to Columbus to meet with Aflac's commercial and marketing teams.

At this point in time there's not a set amount of commercials Aflac will create for the year, but McKeague says he looks forward to making more, and so do his kids, who now say their dad is famous.

"It's been so much fun because they finally get to go to school and tell their friends their dads the duck. There friends got a kick out of it."

Such a big kick out of it, his son's friends are asking for autographs. McKeague says although it's fun to play the duck, he knows the responsibility that comes with the job.

"I'm not gonna let you down. I'm proud to be part of this team and I hope it will last a long time."
