CSU's Lewis Earns Multiple All-Region Accolades

MOUNT OLIVE, NC – Columbus State outfielder Ryan Lewis was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCWA) All-Southeast Region teams announced by both organizations.

Lewis was a second team selection by the ABCA and a third team choice by the NCBWA.

The junior led CSU in most offensive categories including batting average (.360), runs scored (44), hits (71), on-base percentage (.443) and stolen bases (16).  He picked up 23 extra base hits including eight home runs, drove in 37 runs and walked 25 times.  Lewis is one of two players to start all 51 games for the Cougars this season.

His marks in batting average, on-base percentage, runs, hits, home runs and stolen bases all ranked him in the top 15 in the Peach Belt Conference.

Twice during the season Lewis had hitting streaks of 10-games, the second highest streak for a CSU player this year.
