COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Several students from Columbus State University entered an essay contest detailing why they would be the best fit for the job of Legacy Cadillac and Chevrolet's scholarship spokesperson.

Monday, the winner, Jasmine Jones, was awarded a $5,000 scholarship. The CSU junior received the most votes on WTVM.com.

Originally, the $5,000 Columbus State University scholarship was to be awarded to the chosen winner, but after reading about and meeting the finalists, Emanuel Jones, owner of Legacy Chevrolet – Cadillac – Saab, decided that all were winners and added another $4000 in CSU scholarships.

The first runner up received $1500, the second received  $1000, the fourth place winner received $750 and the fifth placed winner received $500.

Legacy also gave CSU an additional $1200 to disperse to students at CSU.

Expect to see Jasmine and the runner up, Cassie Lee in commercials soon. Emanuel Jones says the students will also get paid for their advertising time.
