Columbus Lions beat Alabama Hammers 62-27

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Columbus Lions overcame a slow first half to beat the Alabama Hammers 62-27 in SIFL action at the Columbus Civic Center on Thursday night.

The Lions (9-1) held a slim 21-14 lead over the Hammers (3-7) after two quarters before exploding for 41 points in the second half to put the game away.

The Lions host the Albany Panthers on Saturday, June 4 at the Civic Center. A victory over the Panthers would give the Lions the SIFL Southern Division title.
