DESTIN, Fla. - Kickoff times were announced for several September football games for Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia on Thursday at the SEC Spring Meetings.
Auburn football's season opener against Utah State on Sept. 3 will kickoff at 11 a.m. CT and the Tigers' conference opener against Mississippi State on Sept. 10 will begin at 11:21 a.m. CT. ESPN or ESPN2 will televise the Utah State game with the SEC Network (WXTX Fox 54 in Columbus) airing the Mississippi State game. Both will be played at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
As previously announced, the Sept. 17 game at Clemson will air nationally on ABC (WTVM Sports Leader 9 in Columbus) and kickoff at 11 a.m. CT.
Alabama's Sept. 3 season opener against Kent State will be broadcast by the SEC Network (WXTX) with kickoff slated for 11:20 a.m. CT. It will mark the eighth time in the past decade, and the second year in a row, that the Crimson Tide has opened its season at home. Alabama's 2011 season and home opener marks the first meeting between the two teams.
As for Georgia, the Bulldogs will face Boise State on Sept. 3 at 8 p.m.on ESPN in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
The following week, Georgia will appear on ESPN again when the Bulldogs host South Carolina on Sept. 10 at Sanford Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
