Teen sells kidney for iPad 2

(FOX) – How far would you go to get an iPad?  A teen named Xiao Zheng, of China,  reportedly sold one of his kidneys in order to buy an iPad 2 and a laptop.

Chinese TV says there is a visible surgical scar on the 17-year-old's body.

It's reported the boy contacted a middleman online saying he wanted to buy an iPad.

The boy then went to a hospital in the city of Chenzhou, where he had his kidney removed.

The boy only got $3400 for his kidney. Now it is said the boy's health is worsening.

Zheng's mother told Chinese TV in Mandarin, "When my son came home he had a laptop computer and an apple phone. where did all that money come from? Only when he could bare it no longer did he tell us. He said, mom, I  sold my kidney. When I heard it, I  felt like the sky was  crashing down on our family."

A black market for human organs exists in China. There, legally donated organs are rare.
