Grant to transfer from Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Corey Grant's high school coach says the Alabama running back plans to transfer.

Opelika High School coach Brian Blackmon says he doesn't know where Grant will wind up, but believes the redshirt freshman is good enough to play for a major college program.

Blackmon says Grant told him he wouldn't be returning to Alabama.

Grant was a four-star recruit out of high school.

Four other Alabama players have already transferred, including linebacker Petey Smith, running back Demetrius Goode, defensive back B.J. Scott and defensive lineman Brandon Moore.
