ATLANTA (AP) - Gov. Nathan Deal's re-election campaign will be running TV ads from now until the May 20 primary in a significant statewide buy. Spokeswoman Jen Talaber says the Deal campaign will be spending more than $1 million to air the ad beginning Wednesday. The ad argues Deal has lowered taxes, created jobs and made Georgia a place "to do business."

DAHLONEGA, Ga. (AP) - Tuition is going up for Georgia students at all 31 state colleges and universities under a budget plan approved Tuesday by the state Board of Regents. The largest increase is another $372 per semester for Georgia Tech undergraduates.

ATLANTA (AP) - A federal prosecutor said agents are still seeking more suspects in the abduction of a North Carolina prosecutor's father as a judge denied bond Tuesday for five people arrested last week. Frank Arthur Janssen was taken from his home in Wake Forest, N.C., on April 5 and rescued five days later when FBI agents raided an Atlanta apartment.

ATLANTA (AP) - Federal officials have given Georgia a deadline to show that it's doing a better job of processing food stamp applications. USDA officials say they'll suspend up to $15 million in administrative funding by May 14 if the state doesn't show that it's in compliance with federal regulations, or submit a revised corrective action plan.
