Ga. woman recovering from fox attack in Albany

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say three people have been attacked by a rabid fox near Darton College in Albany.

Evette Mills is recovering after being attacked by the animal along a Darton walking track on Thursday. Mills was rescued by members of the college's football team who used footballs and helmets to beat the animal off of the woman.

Mills is undergoing medical treatment for lacerations to her wrist.

Authorities say a woman and a child also were attacked at an apartment complex near the campus. The college sent an email to students, faculty and staff warning them to be cautious while on campus.
