FORT BENNING, Ga. (AP) - About 140 soldiers are being welcomed home to Fort Benning after spending the past year deployed in Afghanistan.
Troops from the 104th Transportation Company are scheduled to arrive Sunday to reunite with their families at the Army post outside Columbus.
In Afghanistan, the company's soldiers were tasked with conducting convoy operations and helping resupply U.S. forces in the area. They deployed overseas in June 2010.
The 104th Transportation Company is part of the Army's 13th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion.
