COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus High School is still celebrating its recent baseball championship, but that was not the case three decades ago.
Back in 1981, the students and faculty were in shock when the school went up in flames.
It happened 30 years ago this past weekend.
Firefighters could do little to stop the inferno, which investigators say was started by someone inside the building.
The school re-opened two years later in 1983.
