The suspect is identified as Jeremy Thomas, 17.

Police say they found and arrested Thomas in the early morning hours of Friday after developing him as a suspect.

Thomas is accused of shooting the girl once in the chest while she was inside a home in the 3600 block of Castle Ridge Road. She died at a Montgomery hospital a short time after the incident.

The suspect was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where his bond was set at $75,000.
