The Auburn Police Division arrested Michael A. Washington, 40, of Tuskegee, Alabama, on a warrant charging him with Theft of Property 1st Degree.

His arrest stems from the investigation of a stolen vehicle report received by police in July 2010.

The theft occurred from a residence located in the 800 block of South College Street.  Washington was transported to the Lee County Detention Center where bond was set at $5,000.

Auburn authorities also arrested Jacob K. Greer, 20, of Auburn, on multiple charges.  Greer was contacted in the 200 block of East University Drive this same date in reference to a residential burglary complaint.

Further investigation connected Greer to other business and vehicle burglaries.  He has been charged with three counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 2nd Degree.  These charges stem from the investigation of business burglaries in the 400 block of North Dean Road which have occurred over the past several months.

Greer was also charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Property 2nd Degree in connection to an automobile burglary reported in the 100 block of East University Drive.

Greer was found to be in possession of an undisclosed amount of prescription medication and is charged with one count of Drug Trafficking and three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Greer was transported to the Lee County Detention Center where he is being held on a $63,000 bond.

The investigation of this case continues and other charges are possible.
