Opelika man fatally stabbed at Baltimore fireworks display

BALTIMORE, MD (WXTX) – A Fourth of July fireworks show in Baltimore ended in violence, when a fight erupted outside a nearby restaurant.

Police say a 26-year-old Joe Calo of Opelika was stabbed to death during the confrontation.

They are now looking for clues into who stabbed him.

In a separate incident nearby, a four-year-old boy was shot in the leg.

Police believe someone may have fired a gun into the air and the child was hit by the stray bullet.

The boy was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
