COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) – The man accused of impersonating a Muscogee County Sheriff's deputy is facing a slew of federal charges.
Binkeve Walton pleaded not guilty in court Friday.
Last week, he was arrested for dressing up as a deputy and invading a home in the Green Island Hills community. A mother and kids were in the home at the time and locked themselves in a backroom. They were not injured.
Walton has been formally charged with eight felonies. Some of which include armed robbery, burglary, impersonating an officer and false imprisonment.
The 24-year-old is also charged with operating a car that was stolen from Roswell, Georgia on June 7.
