Crash in Quitman County leaves two in critical condition

QUITMAN COUNTY, GA - Three people were injured in an early morning traffic accident on Highway 39 in Quitman County on Sunday.

Deniela Denise Moore, 26, of Eufaula, Alabama was air lifted by helicopter to Columbus Medical Center where she was listed in critical but stable condition.  Arthur Glenn Williams, 38, of Georgetown, Georgia was transported to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan.  Williams was listed in critical condition according to family members.

Christopher Charles Jones, 33, of Clayton, Alabama was taken to Medical Center Barbour where he was treated and released.

The accident involved only the one vehicle that appeared to go out of control leaving the roadway and overturned several times ejecting Moore and Williams.  According to lawmen on the scene, alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

The accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
