Snakes Re-Sign Hammond and Maldonado

COLUMBUS (WTVM) - The Columbus Cottonmouths re-signed forward Brett Hammond and defenseman Tom Maldonado to the 2011-2012 roster.

Hammond played all of last season with the Snakes where he notched 40 points in 54 games, the team's third best. The 30 year old from Roseville, MN played in the ECHL for three seasons and the CHL for two before coming to Columbus.

Maldonado joined the Snakes in January of 2011. The 26 year old Bronx native played the first half of the season in Europe before returning home to the states.  After graduating from Middlebury College, Maldonado played two seasons in the CHL then half of last season in the Netherlands.

Maldonado and Hammond join Sam Bowles and Andrew Loewen as the only four on next season's roster.
