Greg Majewski anchors News Leader 9 Morning weather, returning to the city he once called home! As a local graduate of Pacelli High School, Greg joins WTVM after working as a freelance meteorologist for stations in Chattanooga and Birmingham after completing a three stint with the Active Duty Army.  In 2012, he was awarded his second Bronze Star Medal following his deployment in Afghanistan as the Deputy Director of Communication Infrastructure for two regional commands.

Before his deployment, Greg spent two years serving as a company commander and battalion executive officer for a Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Knox, KY.  This organization is tasked with helping wounded and injured Soldiers transition back into military or civilian life. Greg was never far away from his weather roots also working as a fill-in meteorologist for WDRB in Louisville, KY while stationed at Fort Knox.

Greg's extensive weather background includes serving as the managing meteorologist and weather producer for WGCL in Atlanta, GA, the morning meteorologist for WJHG TV in Panama City, FL, and a stint as a radio meteorologist for The Weather Channel located in Atlanta, GA.

He is a graduate of the Broadcast Meteorology Program from Mississippi State; holds a bachelor degree from the University of West Florida with a degree in Journalism; and also holds a Masters in Public Relations from Webster University.  Greg is a member of both the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.  He holds the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval.

Greg continues to serve his country proudly as a major with the United States Army Reserve serving with the 335th Signal Command in East Point, GA.  As advocate for veteran affairs, Greg is also a member of the American Legion.

Greg is married to his lovely wife Julie of almost 17 years. They have two daughters named Madelyn and Ashley.  When not forecasting the weather for the Chattahoochee Valley, he enjoys walking, biking, and just about anything sci-fi.
