Man charged with kidnapping, meth lab found

TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - Troup County deputies arrested a man wanted on kidnapping charges after getting a tip.

Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, deputies checked out a motel where they were told a wanted suspect was staying.

Deputies were also told that there may have been an amount of illegal drugs inside the room.

Authorities found Rodney Stacey Bradley, Jr., 22, hiding behind a bathroom door. Bradley was arrested on two outstanding kidnapping warrants, issued in April of this year.

Bradley allegedly took two children from their home without permission.

The kids were found safely the next morning in Valley, AL.

Just minutes before investigators arrived toreclaim the missing children, Bradley had fled.

He's been on the run since then.

Also arrested, in the same motel room, was Robert Patrick Williams, 24, of Valley, AL and Kristen Annett Williams, 21, of Valley, AL.

Bradley and the Williams were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. It is not known if Robert and Kristen are related.

It was later discovered that a meth lab, in an abandoned home behind the motel, belonged to the three suspects.

All three are currently behind bars in Troup County facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine.
