Johnson: NCAA probation not bothering Georgia Tech

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson says being put on NCAA probation is not bothering his team.

The Yellow Jackets were back on the field Wednesday, giving Johnson one more reason to stop answering questions about NCAA probation.

After the team's first fall practice of 2011, Johnson says he plans to "just move on and you worry about things you can control and move forward."

Johnson begins in his fourth season at Georgia Tech with the football program facing five years of probating for allowing two ineligible players, Demaryius Thomas and Morgan Burnett, to compete in the final three games of '09.

The Yellow Jackets were subsequently stripped of their Atlantic Coast Conference championship, but Johnson is adamant now that his focus is on the future.
