Girl, 5, left at wrong stop after school bus ride

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Gwinnett County school officials say they plan to speak with a school bus driver after a 5-year-old girl was dropped off at the wrong stop on the first day of school.

CBS Atlanta reports that Lyric Gavin was dropped off at an apartment complex in the Duluth area, where she walked around crying and looking for her parents.

Monisha Gavin said when her daughter didn't get off the bus, she asked school officials where she was and they didn't know. She said Lyric was missing for two hours before another parent spotted her wandering around, found a cell phone inside her backpack and called it.

Gwinnett schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach said the driver didn't see Lyric's address tag because she got off the bus with a group of children.
