MOST WANTED: Columbus convenience store robbers

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Columbus police are looking for a suspect who robbed a local convenience store.

Surveillance camera captured the suspect entered the Circle-K store around 11:15 p.m on 4th Street July 23 with one thing in mind, to rob the cash register.

When the store clerk opened the register to complete a transaction the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed money from the register.

Sgt. Donald Bush with Columbus Police says, "He is considered armed and dangerous. Like I said robbery is a confrontation. They know it's going to be a person there. A burglar knows its going to be a person there and anything can happen. You always assume that they're armed and dangerous."

After grabbing an unknown amount of cash from the register the suspect ran out the door.

But with your help police can locate him.

Any tip you can offer could help police make an arrest in this case.

"That's why it's important for the media to give out information. It's important for the police and law enforcement to continue to look because you never know when you get that one break to solve that crime," says Bush.

If you know anything about this crime or the suspects please call the tri-city crime stoppers at the number listed on your screen (706) 653-3188.
