Police officer found not guilty of witness tampering

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) –  A former police officer accused of tampering with a witness has been found not guilty.

Mitchell Brock was accused of tampering with witnesses after his brother, James Brock, murdered Tyesha McNair and Terrence Clark in October 2009. Police say Mitchell called witnesses himself, claiming to be conducting an investigation.

He was also accused of driving by a witnesses' home, honking the horn and putting his fingers in the shape of a gun.

Mitchell has been on administrative leave without pay from the Columbus Police Department and his brother has already been sentenced for the double murder and is serving two life sentences.
