Former police officer accused of bank robbery pleads not guilty in federal court

COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) – The former Columbus police officer accused of bank robbery has pleaded not guilty in federal court.

Edward Pascucci, 53, is accused of robbing Citizens Trust Bank on Macon Road earlier this month.  He was detained by a security guard inside the bank and held until police arrived.

He had already pleaded not guilty in recorders court two weeks ago to local charges.

Pascucci was given a $25,000 bond for the firearm charges, but no bond was granted for the robbery charge.
