Source of mysterious smoke found

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - They mystery of today's smoke has been solved.

It turns out that not only Muscogee, but Troup and Stewart Counties are all experiencing the smoke.

Columbus Fire Department says the source is a forest fire in the Okeefenokee Swamp in south Georgia. It's been burning since May. The weather system from Hurricane Irene is bringing the smoke along with it.
