Police seek Mystic Gas Station shooting suspects

COLUMBUS, GA - On Tuesday August 23rd, a shooting was reported near the intersection of Brown Ave and 7th ST. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Mystic Gas Station at 645 Brown Ave at about 10:50 A.M.

The victim had made a purchase inside the store and was returning to his vehicle when two subjects asked him about the wheels on his car.

The victim went back to his car and after he got in the car one of the subjects approached the car. The victim saw the subject reaching under his shirt and pulling out a pistol. The victim started to drive off and the subject fired at least one shot which entered the vehicle through the driver's side passenger window and struck the victim in the left upper arm.

The victim drove west on 7th St. to the dead end and asked for a resident to call 911. The two subjects ran east across Brown Ave.

We are requesting assistance in identifying these two subjects involved in this aggravated assault. I have attached two photo's from the store's camera system.

Suspect 1: B/M Early to mid 20's Thin build short dreads with dark stocking cap on, black baggy shorts, black T-shirt, dark tennis shoes, possible tattoos on his face, tattoo on the front of his neck, some facial hair, large stone earring in left ear, armed with a 9MM handgun

Suspect 2: B/M Early to mid 20's Thin build, black long pants, white sleeved T-shirt, dark knit cap on head, black tennis shoes with three white stripes on each side,


Anyone who may have been driving by or was in the area when this shooting happened and may have information is asked to call (706)653-3400.
